Payments

How parents pay through Feezy: payment links, receipts, combined payments, cash entries, settlements, refunds, and the safety net behind every payment.

Feezy handles the whole journey of a fee payment: the link a parent taps, the payment itself, the receipt, and the money reaching your institute's bank account. This guide uses coaching vocabulary throughout, so read students and fees as members and plans for a gym, or tenants and rent for a PG hostel.

Every fee gets its own permanent payment link and QR code the moment it is created. The link opens a payment page carrying your institute's name and logo, not a generic payment screen, and it always shows the current amount due, including any late fine, partial payment, or refund that has been applied since.

From there the parent pays by UPI, debit or credit card, or netbanking, processed by Feezy's RBI-regulated payment partners, Razorpay and Cashfree. There is nothing to install and no account to create: tap the link, see the dues, pay. On paid Feezy plans, UPI carries no extra charge for the parent; on the free plan a small UPI fee applies.

The page is honest at every step. A processing screen leads to a clear success or failure result. If the parent closes the screen without paying, it shows Payment cancelled right away. While the bank is still confirming, it shows Verifying payment rather than claiming success early. And if the fee is already fully paid, the link simply says so and invites the parent to log in, keeping the details private if the message gets forwarded.

Receipts

Every successful payment produces a receipt with a proper sequential receipt number, your institute's logo, and full contact details. Parents can download it from the payment page or their own dashboard, including on a phone. When your institute is registered for GST, the downloadable copy is a proper tax invoice with GST details, and it is labelled Tax Invoice only when tax actually applies. Amounts are exact to the paisa and always match between the screen and the downloaded copy. Parents also receive a WhatsApp confirmation whenever a payment completes, whether it was paid online or recorded as cash.

Paying several fees in one go

When a family owes more than one fee, even across siblings, Feezy bundles everything into a single reminder with one combined payment link. The combined page breaks down every fee included, and the parent pays once for all of them. Only fees still owed appear on it, so anything settled in the meantime drops off automatically. Institutes that prefer one link per fee can switch combined links off in settings.

Recording cash and bank transfer payments

Not every payment happens online. Staff can record a payment made by cash, cheque, bank transfer, or direct UPI straight from the student's page, with a reference number and the option to backdate the entry. Your institute can require an administrator's approval before a cash entry counts, adding a review step for money handled by hand. Once recorded, an offline payment behaves like any other: the fee is marked paid, a receipt is available, and the parent gets a WhatsApp confirmation.

Settlements: money reaching your bank

Online payments settle straight into your institute's own bank account through the payment partner. When a settlement payout is recorded, the owner automatically receives a WhatsApp message and an email receipt. A Collections screen shows every payment, payout, and refund across the whole organisation, with clear totals for money collected, paid out, and pending payout. A Reconciliation page lets finance staff confirm that each online payment has been matched to the right student, and fix a match manually if needed. Every payment also records which partner actually collected it, so settlement records stay accurate even if your institute changes partners later.

Refunds

Refunds are a permission-controlled action, available only to roles your institute allows. An issued refund appears on the Collections screen alongside payments and payouts, and the fee's payment link updates automatically to reflect the refunded amount.

The safety net behind paid status

Bank confirmations are occasionally delayed by a few minutes. Feezy has layered protections so a completed payment is never lost and never counted twice:

  • Payments are recorded automatically the moment they complete, with safeguards against double counting.
  • If a confirmation is delayed, simply reopening the payment link finds the payment and marks the fee Paid instantly, even on an old link reopened long after paying.
  • Payments that were not confirmed automatically are detected and corrected within minutes.
  • Anything still showing unpaid 48 hours after a completed payment is found and corrected automatically.

You can check at any time whether payments are running normally on Feezy's public status page at status.feezy.one. For anything else, write to hello@feezy.one or reach the team on WhatsApp support, and manage everything at app.feezy.one.
